Qu’on se le dise, l’ambiance ici n’est pas à la fête : Guerre du Vietnam, syndromes post-traumatiques, toxicomanie, holocauste nucléaire, psychoses en tout genre... Autant des thématiques présentes sur le deuxième album de Black Sabbath, qui reste le plus connu du groupe, notamment grâce au succès du morceau « Paranoïd ». Le son y est... Comment dire: aussi pesant, lugubre, et puissant, qu’un orage sur le point d’éclater. Ce qui n’exclut pas de belles mélodies.
